Coll has been interested in the sea ever since he was young, gaining plenty of sea experience at the local sailing club from a very young age. Now a fully qualified powerboat Skipper, as well as a student naval architect, the maritime life comes naturally to this young, enthusiastic Skye local, with a passion for wildlife to boot.
Willie has been sailing the Scottish waters from knee-height, taking his first trip aboard a fishing boat at the age of 8 years old. Brought up on the west side of the island, with Scottish east coast heritage, Willie spent numerous years fishing on both sides of the country. He has also worked on a variety of different vessels, including RIBS, tugs, catamarans, fishing, and workboats – most recently, on the Go to St. Kilda trips as their chief skipper – in addition to time in the British Army. You’ll be sure to have some tremendous fun on a trip with Willie, a highly experienced, knowledgeable and interested skipper – once affectionately referred to in a review as “Quint from Jaws”!
