Are dogs allowed on board?
Yes, dogs are welcome on board all our vessels.
How many passengers can each vessel carry?
Each vessel is coded according to Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA) regulations to carry 12 passengers and 2 crew members. According to MCA regulations, those under 1 year of age do not count as passengers in terms of capacity.
Where and when should we arrive for our trip?
You should check-in at the Harbour Fish and Chip Shop on Portree Harbour at least 15 minutes before your trip. The full address for the meeting point is included in your booking confirmation.
What is your cancellation policy?
Customers will receive a full refund or credit with 24 hours’ notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact us by phone or email to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows and latecomers who miss the trip will be charged the full price, UNLESS their cancellation request is within reason (for instance, a flat tyre, car accident resulting in a road closure etc.).
Are you guaranteed to see anything?
Unfortunately, as it is wildlife, we cannot offer a 100% guarantee of spotting anything. However, it is very unusual not to see a white-tailed eagle on our trips, all year round. Seals, dolphins, and whales can also potentially be spotted year-round. Atlantic puffins can potentially be seen on the water, usually between April and June.
Do you have toilet facilities on board?
There are facilities available on board MV Stardust, MV Stardust II, Wavedancer and Saorsa na Mara. Saorsa of Skye, the RIB, does not have toilet facilities.
Are your vessels wheelchair-accessible?
MV Stardust II, Wavedancer and Saorsa na Mara are wheelchair accessible. MV Stardust and Saorsa of Skye are not and require reasonable physical conditioning to access.
Are there indoor facilities aboard your vessels?
There is an indoor wheelhouse that can be sat in upon request to the skipper, aboard MV Stardust, MV Stardust II, Wavedancer and Saorsa na Mara. Saorsa of Skye is an uncovered RIB and has no sheltered seating.
Are food and drink refreshments provided?
Unfortunately, we don’t provide food and drink on-board. However, you are more than welcome to bring your own on board.
Are your vessels suitable for large-lensed cameras or photography?
While all our vessels are well-equipped and appropriate for large cameras and photography, a trip on the catamarans (Stardust II or Wavedancer) is recommended for greater stability.
